I am Surinder Singh Kalsi, an international industrial strategist with more than five decades of experience building bridges between global manufacturing landscapes and engineering excellence. My career has taken me across continents, through economic transitions and technological milestones, uniting stakeholders who share a common goal: creating industrial systems that are efficient, resilient, and globally competitive.

My professional journey began in India, grounded in hands-on engineering. In 1965, fresh from graduation, I founded Kalsico Engineers in New Delhi. Working alongside Voltas Ltd. of the Tata Group, I led a specialized service unit responsible for the complete refurbishment of U.S.-manufactured Carrier compressors. This early chapter sharpened my technical discipline and instilled principles that would guide my entire career — precision, accountability, and the unwavering commitment to deliver mission-critical solutions.

In 1969, my path expanded into the international arena through petrochemical plant engineering. Over the next twenty years, I managed large-scale, multinational projects with high-stakes technical and commercial expectations. My collaborators included global industrial leaders such as Aramco, Dow Chemicals, Shell, and the Atomic Energy Commission of India. These engagements demanded not only engineering mastery, but diplomacy, cultural fluency, and the ability to synchronize procurement, infrastructure, and execution across borders.

As my career progressed, my role evolved from technical delivery to strategic advisory. I worked through the industrial transformations that followed the reunification of Germany, the rise of Asia’s manufacturing economies, and the integration of emerging markets into global supply chains. Throughout this period, I developed a reputation as a bridge-builder — someone who could see both the macroeconomic picture and the machinery beneath it.

Today, I continue to advocate for engineering-driven development, mentoring organizations and industry leaders who seek clarity in systems, cooperation across cultures, and excellence under pressure.
